I love making! I’ve decided it’s my ‘thing to do’ when I’m feeling stressed, bored or just trying to wind down.
This week, for example, I had lots on and a backlog of work. But a family dinner invitation prompted me to offer up homemade lemon cake with homemade lemon curd filling. And, just because I felt like it…some macaroons with my homemade Christmas jam as a filling 😲. Well, both were delicious..BUT I did not catch up on all that office work! However, I do think I got my priorities right!
As it’s leading up to Christmas 🎄 and I love, whenever I can, to make little treats for all my friends and family. I thought I’d share some pictures of my jam making. I really wanted to share my recipe this month but I feel that I need a few more goes before my recipe is perfected. But I promise to post it next Christmas. 😊
I think it’s lovely to receive something homemade, well thought of or just beautifully wrapped. Don’t you? To decorate my jams I nipped to the local craft shop, Creative Crafts and bought some festive leaves and Raffia (I absolutely 💛 Raffia)
Sitting down with a nice cup of coffee, a piece of my latest homemade cake and a bag full of decorations is a great feeling for me… and relax.
An empty coffee cup and plate later…I’m done. I am pleased with the end result and I think the gold leaves make them look really festive.
If you can find a little time in the evenings or on a Sunday afternoon have fun with some crafting this year, it will make you feel marvellous. I think it also stops christmas running away with us. ⛄️
If you are struggling for Inspiration and are free on the 7th December, come down to my little christmas party. Live Christmas Music, Mulled Wine, stress free shopping (including a chance to buy my jams) and homemade Mince Pies…of course. You can contact me for more details.
Watch this space in 2 weeks time. I’ll be sharing some wrapping fun with you. See you then. All the Best 😘
